Locked On Florida Panthers host Armando Velez is a South Florida Native and has been working in Sports Media since 2012. He’s been host of Locked On Panthers since January 2021. Armando is a scholar of The Emma Bowen Foundation For Minority Interest in Media, which helped him land a work-study with NBC Universal’s Golf Channel from 2012-2015 as an Intern. After graduating from Florida International University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and International Business, Armando returned to Golf Channel in 2017 as a Newsroom Logger for Live PGA Tour Tournaments. He transitioned from golf to hockey when he joined the Locked On Podcast Network in January 2021. Armando has been a member of the credentialed Panthers media corps since the 2021-22 season.
