Sophia Jones

Sophia Jones currently serves as the radio color analyst for the Golden State Valkyries, where she provides in-depth game analysis, player insight, and strategic breakdowns throughout the WNBA season.

The last 2 seasons, Jones worked for the University of San Francisco as the television color analyst for Dons women’s basketball. She also served as the sideline reporter for the Dons’ men’s basketball program, delivering live updates, conducting halftime and postgame interviews, and providing courtside coverage that connected fans to the program’s storylines.

Jones’ professional résumé also includes sideline reporting for the 2024 NBA California Classic, where she covered emerging NBA talent during the preseason showcase. Additionally, she has worked select games as a sideline reporter for the Sacramento Kings, contributing courtside insights and interviews as part of the team’s broadcast coverage.

A proud alumna of San Jose State University, Jones was a member of the Spartans women’s basketball program. While rehabbing from 2 torn ACLs, she expanded her impact beyond playing by calling women’s basketball games for the Mountain West Network, gaining early broadcasting experience and sharpening the analytical voice that now defines her work.
